Diese Rampe, bestehend aus 27 Stufen, wird auf dem US-Luftwaffenstützpunkt Andrews bei Washington fertiggestellt, womit der sowjetische Ministerpräsident Chruschtschow, bei seiner Ankunft am Dienstag, sein Flugzeug verlassen kann.

"This ramp, consisting of 27 steps, is being completed at Andrews Air Force Base, Washington, to enable Soviet Premier Khrushev to walk from his Russian-built plane Tuesday. The steps will be covered with red carpet and the ramp will have a wooden ralling painted Air Force blue. It was constructed because nonne is manufactured in this country with sufficient height to reach the exits of Russian jets."
