When our work for Dr. Schweitzer was started in 1950 with what we called The Albert Schweitzer Festival, we had as a foremost purpose, as we do now, the raising of funds to assist the hospital founded by Dr. Schweitzer at Lambarene, Gabon Republic, Africa in 1913.
