Atthough recent orangutan field studies […] have expanded our knowledge, a paucity of detailed, long-zterm data still remains. Over four years (1971-1975) we collected 6,904 hours of direct observations on wild orangutans [...] at Tanjung Puting Reserve in coastal Central Indonesian Borneo."
